Liner system 100% original to the helmet. On the opposite side sits the National tri-color decal which has been excavated. The decal bears a deep golden color with the correct 3D shadow typical with ET helmets. A single Kriegsmarine adler decal was placed over the depot paint. The current exterior paint has been depot applied. Item H637: This helmet was originally issued with a factory smooth parade green paint as seen where the depot period repaint has flaked off. Partial name of German soldier inscribed in white paint on the rear of the flared edge. Manufacturer and date on tip are indiscernible. Long portion of strap is in full length and pliable. Drawstring in full length with original factory knot still in place. Leather liner is undamaged, fully pliable and has taken on a darkened aged appearance. Since it is a re-issue it has been assembled with a zinc liner band. All three untouched split pin rivet fasteners intact and complete with all three slotted washers. Tight fitting liner system 100% original to the helmet. There are many other Kriegsmarine helmets in the lot number database all around this one that has a lot number of 4834. This is a re-issue with it bearing only one decal. A very deep golden Kriegsmarine decal rests on the left side of the helmet which rates approx. Exterior displays a green and brick red camouflage. Item H641: Here is a very rare authentic Kriegsmarine camo. WWII M35 SE64 German Kriegsmarine Camo Helmet Long portion of strap is pliable but missing an inch or two from the tip. Reinforced aluminum liner band is manufacturer stamped and dated B&C Berlin 1938. It is not scratched in the paint so it may possibly be removed if the new owner wishes to do so. On the front of the helmet and on top of the paint is a pencil drawing of a Swastika. On the right side The national tri-color exhibits a ghosting effect. On the left side a ghosting and crazing can be seen where the Heer adler decal sits under all the rough texture and camo paint. Over the rough texture paint is a tan and green camouflage paint which is associated with a Tropical or Mediterranean terrain. Item H635: Exterior displays a rough texture overpaint which was common among M35 helmets to cover the factory glossy parade finish. Reinforced aluminum liner band manufacturer stamped and dated D.R.P. 80% and was applied over top of a Heer decal. Both authentic and factory applied decals are proportionate with the overall wear.
